Kaupolė - A lush meadow on your table

Saulė from Troboje
Furoshiki Mistletoe japanese wrapping cloth

Traditionally Kaupolė is a little bundle of Lithuanian meadow herbs collected on a midsummer night and used for the ceremonies of the ancient Baltic festival Kupolinės. As well - Lithuanian based textile designer located in Vilnius.

Kaupolė was born out of a love for drawing, plants and textiles and a printing studio was established in 2013.

Journey begins in rural Lithuanian fields and meadows, rustic gardens and flower beds of ancestors.
Plants are observed, carefully selected and sketched precisely. Drawings then transferred and cut into lino blocks and casted to unique stamps.

Each single piece of the cloth is printed for the exact item by using water-based textile inks. The process requires a tremendous accuracy, as well as precise technological consistency, which are necessary to maintain sharpness and detail of the print,  durability and resistance of fabric and a
highest quality of the product.

Natural fabrics printed with these stamps become tablecloths, napkins, gift wraps, cosmetic bags or clothes inspired by Lithuanian nature.
